Your opinion on what this question is asking for..Easy points.?

I have to give a short presentation on "Japan's quest for an expanded overseas empire as championed by the various patriotic societies and their supporters." What is your opinion on what I should focus on, as it is a bit ambiguous to me. Other presenters have specific topics about Japan's expansionism so I cannot include specifics (eg. Sino-japaness war, Russo-Japanese war, etc..). Should I focus on why they wanted to expanded and who supported it, just the reasons, just the supporters, what? Thanks!
