Sick of being a young carer!?

I feel so bad for young carers like you. It is so unfair that you have to give up your youth to care for someone without help. Especially someone like your mum who is obviously unpredictable. Do you have any contacts at social services? I used to work for a carers advocacy service and there should be something set in place for people like you in your area. Try looking online for carers advocacy services where you live. You could get someone to do all the hard work for you in terms of calling social services and arranging respite care or whatever else is available. It can be frustrating trying to deal with social services because they like to pass people from pillar to post and things take a long time. An advocate gets things moving quicker and fights on your behalf. It may be that your mother needs to be an in patient somewhere because you can't be there all the time and it sounds like she is a danger to herself sometimes. If you can't get hold of an advocacy service then try citizens advice. Good luck.
